Thanksgiving Break Part 1

Carmel!

For the first part of our break, Patrick and I headed down to Carmel.  We stayed in the Carmel Valley for a couple of days and enjoyed wine tasting, good food, and hiking on the coast!

Happy Birthday Beau!

Beau turned two years old last Wednesday!  We took him to Barktoberfest where he got to sniff a lot other dogs, sample dog treats, and chew on his new frisbee.

Labor Day

We headed up to Lake Almanor for Labor Day.  It was a little smoky even though the fire was completely contained.  We had 6 adults, 2 kids, and 4 dogs!  I just wanted to share these pictures!

Wine Tasting

Wine tasting at Apple Hill

This post is very past due, but better late than never!  Right before school started, Patrick and I, along with my mom, Andy, and Amanda drove up to Apple Hill to do a little wine tasting.  I'm so proud of Andy and Amanda for having an open mind to Apple Hill wineries-since they are such Healdsburg wine snobs! :)

We had a great time!  It was a nice way to ease our way back to the school year!

 

 

Lake Almanor

Summer school is over so Patrick and I drove up to the lake house for some much needed relaxation.  We headed out to the Rec Trail for a little hike.

We didn't have a backpack up here, so Patrick improvised!

Of course Beau wanted to go swimming!

Wine Tasting

John and Melissa invited us to wine taste up near Amador.  I don't think we have ever said no to wine tasting!  We had a great Saturday and the weather was perfect!

New Floors!

We have been in our house for over two years, and it was finally the right time to install new floors
